Bordeaux character, Hohenlohe soul
- This powerful Merlot combines a velvety richness with an aromatic structure – a classic Bordeaux Merlot, reinterpreted in the special terroir of the Hohenlohe region.
In the glass, it is a deep garnet red. On the nose, a complex, inviting interplay of aromas of plum, cherry, blackberry and cassis unfolds, complemented by notes of mocha, strawberry and fine herbal spice.
On the palate, the wine is powerful yet elegant – full-bodied, with supple tannins and a finely integrated oak note. Dark fruit aromas combine with roasted aromas and a hint of licorice to create a long, warm finish with tension and depth.
Pairing Suggestions
An excellent accompaniment to grilled meat such as sausage, slow-braised beef, lamb or game. Also a delight with strong Italian cuisine or spicy cheeses.
